Balancing calories is probably the best way to keep a healthy diet and keep the weight off. So many people go on fad diet and lose tons of weight and then stop and weight comes back. If you're one of them, you'll probably find yourself frustrated. The weight just seems to keep bouncing back. Some people eventually give up completely.

The rule of eating a healthy and balanced diet is simple. You need to balance calories. If you wonder what it means. It means that you eat enjoy your food, the food you love, but with less quantity. When your cook or order, avoid oversize portions. Have you noticed that meals are getting bigger and bigger? Share a plat with your family. Or ask for a to-go box. Don't eat everything that comes to you.

Make half of your plate fruits and vegetables. Meat and carb should occupy only half of the plate. If you eat a pound of pasta every dinner, it'd be very difficult to keep weight off. Vegetables fill you up but won't make you gain weight. Always remember portions that really matter when it comes to weight battle.
