What you eat can directly affect your heart health

By: Admin

Do you know that what you eat affects your heart health. Your diet can increase or decrease your risk for having heart disease and poor blood circulation, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

The number 1 killer in America is heart disease. It is quite simple to understand the relationship between food and hearth attacks. In the main type of heart disease, a fatty substance called plaque builds up in the arteries that bring oxygen-rich blood to the heart.

Over period of time, your arteries can become narrow and harden due to the plaque buildup. Then your heart doesn't get enough blood it needs which can result in chest pain or a heart attack. The same thing can also happen to your brain. When the blood vessels become blocked because of the fatty deposits, you can have a stroke.

So watch what you eat can significantly reduce your risk for heart disease and stroke.
